Christie Teams Up with Walt Disney Studios for World Premiere of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year"

Christie, a global leader in visual solutions for entertainment, business and industry, is pleased to announce that the world premiere of Walt Disney Pictures' "High School Musical 3:  Senior Year" was screened on the acclaimed Christie CP2000 Series DLP Cinema® projectors at Galen Center, University of Southern California, Thursday, October 16. The Christie CP2000-XB and Christie CP2000-X lit up a giant 75' wide x 40' high screen from a distance of up to 125 feet.

Disney's "High School Musical" phenomenon leaps onto the big screen in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, in which America's favorite high school students (starring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman) hit senior year. Amidst a basketball championship, prom and a big spring musical featuring all of the Wildcats, Troy and Gabriella vow to make every moment last as their lifelong college dreams put the future of their relationship in question. A crew of sophomore Wildcats (played by Matt Prokop, Justin Martin, Jemma

McKenzie-Brown) join in the fun as the film's incredible new music and exciting dance numbers take maximum advantage of the big screen. Directed by Kenny Ortega from a screenplay written by Peter Barsocchini, the film opens in theaters October 24.

The event marks the latest collaboration between Christie and Walt Disney Studios. Over the years, Disney has selected Christie digital projectors to premiere some of the industry's most popular films, including "Wall-E", "Cars" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."

"We are thrilled to be working with Christie again on the World Premiere of 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year,'" said Lylle Breier, senior vice president, Worldwide Special Events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

"Digital cinema technology is ideally suited to convey the vibrant and dynamic images of feature films like 'High School Musical 3,' and Christie DLP Cinema projectors always 'make the grade' with flying - and brilliant - colors."

"We are pleased to be selected once again by Disney to help them stage another exciting world premiere," said Craig Sholder, vice president of Entertainment Solutions, Christie. "Working with Disney ensures the delivery of the highest form of entertainment to moviegoers everywhere.

When it comes to spectacular entertainment on the big screen, Christie DLP Cinema projectors always prove to be the 'Best in Class.'"
