Kinoton DCP Projectors on the Road of Success
With a significant number of Digital Cinema Projectors sold, the German manufacturer Kinoton has proven to be one of the leading providers in the Digital Cinema market. In fact, sales are gaining momentum. After achieving a blanket coverage of Europe, the DCP projectors are successively spreading into further areas such as Africa, Asia and the Middle East. All in all, Kinoton D-Cinema systems have been installed, or are scheduled for installation, in 22 countries so far. Further orders are due within a short time, so Kinoton’s objective of being present with D-Cinema systems in more than 25 countries will be achieved early in 2009.
One of the key factors for this market success appears to be Kinoton’s excellent reputation throughout the cinema industry. “Kinoton has been serving the cinema industry for more than 60 years. Over this long period we have accumulated an extensive expertise and technological competence. What is more, we are very well versed in exhibitors’ requirements and everyday troubles. Accordingly we have tailored our DCP projectors consistently to theatrical needs, leaving out all the frills and sticking strictly to the main features essential for cinema use: perfect picture quality, maximum reliability, easy operation and easy maintenance,” CEO Christoph Dobler comments on the core benefits of both the company and its products.
Another important reason for the confidence the industry is putting in Kinoton’s D-Cinema systems is the comprehensive support provided by selected international service partners: If necessary, a well-trained service and maintenance technician can be quickly on site. Facing a severe change in cinema technology, this comprehensive service and support is more important than ever.
