At CinemaCon, Meyer Sound Announces New Product and Hosts Live Demos of Exp® Systems

On March 28-31, Meyer Sound invites all movie industry professionals at this year’s CinemaCon to experience the clarity and power that define the EXP series of cinema sound systems indemo room Neopolitan 1 at Caesars Palace. Visitors will also witness the debut of a brand new addition to the EXP series. In two featured presentations, company CEO and Co-founder John Meyer will discuss Meyer Sound’s decision to enter the cinema market and its revolutionary approach to movie sound reproduction.

“With digital cinema presentation of picture and sound, cinema audiences can finally enjoy the full impact and detail as intended by the filmmakers. Now cinema exhibitors need the powerful, low-distortion loudspeakers to complete the experience,” says Steve Shurtz, technology director, EXP.

Meyer Sound CEO John Meyer will be on hand to bring clarity to Meyer Sound’s offerings to the cinema exhibition market and his vision of movie sound. Presented in an interview format with Jerry Harrah of Harrah’s Theater Equipment, the discussions are scheduled for Tuesday, March 29 at 2:00 pm and Wednesday March 30 at 11:00 am.

The EXP line of cinema loudspeakers includes the Acheron 80, 100, and Studio loudspeakers, the HMS-10 surround loudspeaker, as well as the Acheron LF low frequency screen channel loudspeaker, X-800C cinema subwoofer, and Galileo® loudspeaker management system. EXP’s power and linearity make it the ideal cinema sound system for exact reproduction of the director and sound designer’s vision and have impressed movie sound professionals at Skywalker Sound, American Zoetrope, and De Lane Lea. A fast-growing count of commercial cinema installations now includes CinemaxX in Denmark and Germany, Solaris Kino in Estonia, Cinetopia in North America, and more.
