(AAM), Europe’s leading digital cinema company, and Cinépolis, Mexico’s largest
cinema chain, have announced a software licensing deal for a suite of digital
cinema products including AAM’s Theater Management System (TMS), circuit management
system (known as Director), and Back Office and remote monitoring solution.
The deal represents AAM’s first foray into Latin America – a
region which will be an important growth area for the company’s future
development.
Under the terms of the agreement, AAM will be the exclusive
supplier of its Theater Management System to all of Cinépolis's screens in
Mexico as well as Central and South America. Cinépolis will also be
utilizing Director, AAM’s circuit management system for centralized visibility
and control of its vast array of cinema screens.
With a footprint of over 275 theaters as of the end of
September 2011, Cinépolis is both the largest theater chain in Mexico and the
leading exhibitor in Latin America, as well as being the world’s fourth largest
exhibitor.
AAM will also supply its remote monitoring tools for use in
Cinépolis’s own Network Operations Center.

software at its booth (#914) on the trade show floor at Showeast, from October
24th - October 27th.
