Music Box Films to Manage Theatrical Distribution Using Cinedigm’s Theatrical Distribution Software

Music Box Becomes Latest Distributor To License Industry’s Premier Software

Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corporation (NASDAQ: CIDM) announced today Music Box Films has become the latest distributor to license Cinedigm’s proprietary Theatrical Distribution System (TDS) to manage all domestic theatrical releases.

Founded in 2007, Music Box Films has quickly established itself as one of the leading independent distributors of feature films in the US. In 2008, Music Box’s release of Guillaume Canet’s TELL NO ONE was the most popular foreign-language art house release of the year. In 2010, the film adaptations of Stieg Larsson’s trilogy of international mega-selling novels dominated the art house market. The first in the series, THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, was one of the most popular international releases of the decade, and collectively the Larsson trilogy has grossed $22 million at the US theatrical box office. Upcoming Music Box releases include Terence Davies’ THE DEEP BLUE SEA starring Rachel Weisz and the award-winning MONSIEUR LAZHAR.

Cinedigm’s TDS software is the industry’s premier platform for managing all aspects of theatrical distribution. Three versions of the revolutionary software are available - from the licensed version used by major distributors to INDIE Direct, a complete back office solution for the smallest independent. The Software as a Service (SaaS) system used by Music Box allows medium size distributors to share exhibitor contact data while allowing each distributor unique and secure booking, shipping, gross collection and billing data.
