2006 sees the start of digital cinema rollouts around the world. The final
pieces of the jigsaw are slotting into place.
The final elements of the DCI specification relating to security, encryption
and content management are now agreed. Equipment manufacturers and content
distributors are racing to meet this common goal.
How will these elements actually work in practice? How will films be managed in
post, in delivery and of course in your cinemas?
Please join us on Friday 12th May 2006 at 2.00pm at The Princess Anne Theatre
at BAFTA - the perfect venue to understand how digital is coming to a cinema
near you and how it will affect your next film.
The event will include presentations from Technicolor, Dolby and BTS who will
guide you through actual processes required to get your content ready in post,
how it will be delivered and managed, and what needs to be done in your cinema
at a practical level.
The event is free and registration will commence at 01.00pm (Lunch is not
provided). Belgian beer and nibbles will be provided from 5.00pm giving you an
excellent opportunity to meet the speakers and your colleagues from across
Europe to discuss the issues raised.
Who should attend?
Cinema owners, Producers, Distributors, Post supervisors, Heads of Facilities
and Technical managers.
A full agenda and list of speakers will be available nearer the time. Spaces are
extremely limited so please respond by 30th April 2006. Places will be allocated
on a first come first served basis.
