D-Cinema describes the playback of studio-quality content with equipment
that provides a viewing experience equal or better than 35MM film. The storage and
projection equipment has been designed specifically for motion picture use. The
quality of the presentation meets the industry's high standards and the expectations
of critical movie makers.

NEC Solutions (America), Inc. today announced that it has achieved the highest install level of its Starus™ iS8 digital cinema projectors with DLP Cinema® technology from Texas Instruments in digitally equipped post-production houses in North America. Dong Young iTech and Barco bring digital cinema to South Korea
The digital cinema revolution takes a significant step forward, as Dong Young iTech, Barco and QuVIS, Inc. collaborate on the worlds’ first full multiplex digital cinema conversion. As part of the world's first full multiplex conversion, Barco announces that Korea's premier motion picture exhibitor, MegaBox Cineplex Inc., will be bringing Barco D-Cine Premiere DP90 and DP100 projectors to four multiplexes throughout Seoul, Korea.
