By 1930, Alexanderson's projector was working well enough to demonstrate to a public audience. Newspaper accounts predicted early adoption: "With this successful experiment, the technical arrangements are virtually complete for projecting on normal-sized motion picture screens... Television will be a regular feature in large theaters before the new year."
