About Irish Multiplex Cinemas:

Irish Multiplex Cinemas commenced trading in 1998 with the opening of the Athlone and Ballymena cinemas followed in 1999 with Dunlaoghaire and Dundalk cinemas openings. Mullingar opened in 2002 and new wave of openings start with April 9th opening of new IMC Cinema in Thurles with other openings planned for 2009/2010. The total screens operating under IMC banner with new opening of Thurles is 43. IMC plans to double this by 2012.
