June of 1972 Paul J. Rogers purchased the Adler Theater and 10-13 Drive-in
Theater from the J.P. Adler family. The Adler Theater had opened them in 1908. Today
Rogers Cinema owns theaters in eight cities and two states. The Wisconsin
operations are in Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, New London, Waupaca, Beaver
Dam, Sparta and Stevens Point. The Michigan operation is in Houghton. Rogers Cinema’s
total screen count is 53. Rogers Cinema is
still owned by Paul Rogers and John Koran. Rogers Cinema Inc. employs
approximately 170 people.

Wisconsin-Based Rogers Cinema Selects Sonic Equipment Company for Digital Conversion Featuring GDC Servers
Sonic Equipment
Company (“Sonic”) was recently selected by Rogers Cinema for the conversion of its
Marshfield Cinema 8 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Under the agreement, GDC
Technology Limited (“GDC”), a world leading digital cinema solution provider,
will supply the digital cinema servers to be deployed in the conversion program.
As part of Sonic’s aggressive installation agenda, Marshfield Cinema
anticipates being fully digitized by the end of June 2011, with the entire
chain to be fully converted by the end of 2012.
