Sony Digital Cinema™ 4K projection technology has continued to evolve to meet the ever expanding needs of digital cinema exhibition and be compliant with the DCI specifications. The projector’s 4K resolution is derived from its 4096 by 2160 pixel matrix, or approximately 8.8 million pixels, allowing it to deliver the highest image resolution cinema projection today -- four times the resolution of 2K projection systems and consumer HD televisions. Sony Digital Cinema™ 3D is provided by Sony’s dual-lens adaptor system which presents 2K images to both eyes at once, for a comfortable, realistic viewing experience. Sony 4K also supports 60P for the full impact of 3D live sports, converts and gaming events.

Sony Digital Cinema Partners with Eclipse Cinemas
