ArcLight Chooses Meyer Sound Cinema Audio for New Premium Screens

ArcLight Cinemas has selected Meyer Sound cinema audio systems for three screens at new upscale multiplex theaters in Chicago, Illinois; Bethesda, Maryland; and Santa Monica, California. A fourth Meyer Sound system was installed earlier at ArcLight Cinemas’ La Jolla, California location.

Germany’s Rotor Film Selects Meyer Sound for Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D Mixing Stage
The German post-production facility Rotor Film has installed a 69-loudspeaker Meyer Sound cinema system in its recently opened mixing stage—the largest in Europe that offers both Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D immersive surround sound technologies. Located in the Babelsberg “Media City” complex in Potsdam, the room features one of the largest Meyer Sound cinema monitoring systems ever installed.

Meyer Sound LEOPARD Delivers at Dutch Open Air Film Festival
The 23rd Openlucht (Open Air) Film Festival in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands presented seven nights of blockbuster movies with 3.1 cinema sound provided by a Meyer Sound LEOPARD™ linear sound reinforcement system. Recently acquired by Aukes Theatertechniek of Amsterdam, the LEOPARD system delivered power and clarity for nightly audiences of 1,500 in a secluded forest meadow outside the city.

Dennis Sands Selects Meyer Sound for Dolby Atmos Film Music Mixing Stage
Award-winning film sound engineer Dennis S. Sands has upgraded his Sound Waves SB studio with a Meyer Sound cinema loudspeaker system for mixing in Dolby Atmos. Located in Santa Barbara, Calif., Sands’s private studio is the first Dolby Atmos dubbing stage dedicated exclusively to native mixing of film music.
