About Hong Kong IMAGI Animation Studio:
Founded in 1983, Imagi International Holdings Limited ("Imagi") is a company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 585) and is mainly engaged in the production of feature-length animated motion pictures and TV series using leading-edge computer graphics ("CG") technologies. Imagi initiated the development of its CG animation business in late 2000. Imagi's state-of-the-art production studio in Chai Wan employs over 300 CG experts, who successfully combine creative artistry and technical prowess, to create critically acclaimed and popular original characters and stories. Imagi produced its first 3D CG animated TV series, "Zentrix™", in 2002, which was released in France, Japan, Germany, England and Hong Kong in September 2002, April 2003, September 2003, January 2004 and July 2004 respectively. Imagi reached a co-production agreement with Bandai, a global leading Japanese toy manufacturer, and Toei, a prominent film company in Japan, in October 2003 for the production of "Digital Monster X-Evolution". "Digital Monster X-Evolution" is the first CG animation direct-to-video film of the world famous "Digimon" franchise and will be completed in Fall 2004. The Group entered into an exclusive agreement with DreamWorks Television Animation LLC in December 2003 to provide CG animation services, including modeling, character animation, lighting, effects, compositing and rendering, in connection with a CG animated television series titled "Father of the Pride". The Program, being the first major network prime time full CG program in US history, premiered on the NBC television network in August 2004. It has also established strategic alliance with Mad House Inc., one of the Japan's top three animation houses, since 2002. With a colorful portfolio established and techiniques cumulated,Imagi is now producing its own feature length movies, including the first full CG animated movie of the famous "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" franchise. The Group's first 3D TV series (26-episodes) "Zentrix™" has won the following international awards: ■ "International-globe Silver Award" (Children's-Anmation category), World Media Festival 2003, Hamburg, Germany ■ "Gold Prize" Award (Computer Animation), Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Excellence Awards ("HKDEEA"), 2002 ■ "Gold Camera Award" (Animation: Computer category), 35th US International Film and Video Festival, Los Angeles, 2002 ■ Nominated "Best Series for Children of the Year", Pulcinella Awards 2002, Cartoons on the Bay Festival, Positano, Italy. The offices create the international connection and reach to enhance the quality of work and marketing capabilities of the Group.
