Barco Digital Cinema expands team to meet continued and rapid growth
arco Digital Cinema is pleased to announce the appointments of Ed Zeier, as National
Accounts Sales Manager / Business Development Manager, reporting to Scott Spector,
VP of Barco Digital Cinema, America and Steve Levy as National Field Sales Engineer,
reporting to Corwin Hamm, Technical Support Manager. Barco Digital Cinema has seen
tremendous growth in sales since the introduction of its 2k projection technology
and industry-wide confidence for an impending breakthrough in the global acceptance
of digital cinema.
Ed Zeier has over 20 years of experience in both the Entertainment Technology and
Motion Picture industry markets. Prior to joining Barco, he gained extensive industry
experience at Universal Studios. Zeier held several high-level positions and was
promoted several times during his 19-year tenure with Universal Studios. Most recently,
he served as the Senior Vice President of Post Production for Universal Studios
Operations Group, responsible for all motion picture post facilities including Sound
and Projection and reported directly to the President of Studio Operations. Zeier
will work with the major national circuits to expedite the rollout of Digital Cinema.
Steven Levy has over 24 years of experience in projection & sound engineering in
the cinema industry. For the last seven years, he worked with Sony Cinema Products.
Prior to that, he worked for seven years with Loews Theatres. Levy will be responsible
for business development, systems engineering, sales and technical support and product
installation to film exhibitors, studios and third-party service organizations on
the West Coast.
