EC Solutions (America), Inc., a premier

today announced that it has been awarded exclusive rights to market NEC 3-chip
DLP Cinema™ projectors provided by NEC ViewTechnologies (NECVT) to the North
American cinema market. Formerly, the projectors were marketed by Digital
Projection International (DPI) as digital cinema equipment.
The powerful DLP Cinema projection systems are central to NECSAM’s recently
announced, multiplex-wide digital cinema system, the NEC STARUS system. The
STAR*Beam iS8 projector and STAR*Beam iS15 projector are digital cinema
projectors using Texas Instruments®-licensed DLP cinema-grade “dark chip”
technology. NEC is one of only three manufacturers with the rights to
incorporate this technology into their projectors.

high-speed fibre channel connectivity, exhibitors can now minimize the transfer
time of reassigning films for all screens of a megaplex and guarantee continuous
presentation quality to their audiences.
