Doremi
Cinema, the leading provider of Integrated Media Block technology and
installations is poised to release their upcoming software to meet the rigorous
demands of the Compliance Test Plan (CTP).
Passing the CTP is required for all digital cinema equipment to become
DCI Compliant.
With almost
3,000 IMBs shipped, Doremi’s IMB is the most widely used IMB with cinema
exhibitors located throughout Europe, Australia, China, South America, Canada,
Mexico and the United States. These
three thousand IMBs are part of over 22,000 total units shipped globally. Doremi’s DCP-2000 is still the most popular
server model to date.
The soon
to be released software will meet all requirements of DCI Specification,
Version 1.2. In addition to providing all logging requirements necessary for
VPF deployments, the software will also provide the additional Doremi benefits
like the CaptiView closed captioning software and server generated 2D and 3D
subtitles.
Key
features of the new software include, 12-bit 4:4:4 output
images (2D and 3D), MPEG4/H264 and VC-1 play out, 3D HDMI
support on alternative input, 3D De-muxing for live events, advanced
diagnostics and provides for up to 6TB of storage in the DCP-2K4 ShowVault.
“Our
number one goal has been to pass the CTP with our IMB/ShowVault product. This release affords us all the requirements
necessary to pass the CTP and achieve DCI compliance,” says Michael Archer,
Vice President Digital Cinema.
