Arts Alliance Media Appoints Industry Heavyweight as Chief Financial Officer and President of Digital Cinema
Arts Alliance Media, the pioneer provider of digital cinema services has
appointed Howard Kiedaisch as chief financial officer. Kiedaisch, who joins from
Universal Pictures International, will also be president of Arts Alliance
Digital Cinema (AADC), the subsidiary which focuses on the development and
deployment of new technologies in order to improve service to film consumers and
the industry. AADC has recently been appointed by the UK Film Council to manage
the world's first large scale digital screen network.
Howard joins Arts Alliance Media from Universal Pictures International (UPI)
where he was senior vice president of business operations and chief financial
officer. During his time at UPI, Kiedaisch was responsible for overseeing 14
operating companies covering 28 countries and 34 licensees involving video
manufacturing and distribution, product acquisitions and business development.
In addition to his six years at UPI, Kiedaisch has a wealth of industry
experience having worked for Polygram Film, EMI Music and Orion Pictures in the
USA.
"I was attracted to Arts Alliance Media because of its pioneering position in
digital cinema and the success of its LOVEFiLM business," said Howard Kiedaisch,
CFO Arts Alliance Media and president Arts Alliance Digital Cinema. "I am very
excited about the opportunity to help AAM become a principle provider of
technology services to the film industry."
"Arts Alliance Media has the ambition to be an industry leader in the delivery
of film entertainment. With the success of LOVEFiLM in the consumer space and
having just won the UK Film Council contract for the digital screen network,
we've taken two major steps towards achieving our goal," said Thomas Hoegh, CEO,
Arts Alliance Media. "We're delighted that Howard Kiedaisch has joined to help
us develop from a promising start up to a force to be reckoned with in the
industry."
