Doremi Partners in Odeon Milestone with the Completion of 809 Screen Deployment
Doremi Cinema has celebrated with Odeon, the largest cinema chain
across the UK and Ireland, on the completion of its digital rollout. The
programme, over two years, has involved all 113 Odeon cinemas in the UK and
Ireland. A total of 890 Odeon screens are now operating with Doremi DCP-2000
digital cinema servers.
Marking the completion of the digital
conversion programme, Odeon COO, Roger Harris commented, “Throughout this
programme we have had great support from our partners, Doremi Cinema. That, and
the reliability of their cinema servers, has helped to make this period of great
change run smoothly.”

The business continues as Odeon expands.
Due to the chain’s recent acquisition of 5 Reel cinemas, 26 more servers are
now heading for installation and a further six are needed for a new Dublin
cinema.
Doremi Cinema has its world headquarters
and production facilities in Burbank (USA), its European headquarters and
R&D in Sophia-Antipolis (France), a Japan office in Tokyo, and two other
R&D entities in Canada and EMEA. It has delivered over 30,000 cinema
servers to customers around the world and has the production capacity to offer
short delivery times.
With over 75 years of Cinema experience, ODEON is the biggest cinema chain in
the UK and Ireland. It owns or manages 890 screens at 113 sites across the UK
