Arts Alliance Media to Supply Odeon UCI with NOC Services and VPF Software in Germany, Austria and Italy

Odeon & UCI Cinemas Group has announced that it has signed Arts Alliance Media (AAM) to be its NOC Services (Network Operations Centre) and VPF Software supplier across Germany, Austria and Italy.

AAM will provide a telephone helpdesk, remote monitoring and remote intervention, log collection and reporting services as well as providing UCI head offices in each of the territories the proprietary Auditor software to manage their VPF deals. The deal covers 65 sites and 661 screens across the three countries and follows on from the deal announced last year for AAM to provide Odeon UCI with its Theatre Management System (TMS) and Library Management Server (LMS) in all sites. The deployment of TMS and LMS was completed last month.

AAM will be providing the Italian-speaking helpdesk from its NOC in London. For Germany and Austria, AAM is partnering with CineProject, which will be providing the telephone helpdesk and remote intervention services from its base in Germany. AAM is providing remote monitoring, log collection and reporting services via its Lifeguard suite of software for all 3 territories from its London NOC.

The VPF Software and NOC services are an integral part of the digital deployment arrangements announced back in 2010, whereby Odeon UCI is using private financing and direct digital deals with all six major Hollywood studios to fund the rollout via Digital Deployment Associates Limited (DDAL). Under DDAL contracts, Odeon UCI has completed the rollout of the Italian, German and Austrian markets.

Fiona Deans, Chief Operating Officer of Arts Alliance Media commented "Following on from our deal announced last year to provide Odeon UCI with TMS and LMS we are delighted to extend our partnership with them and in particular are thrilled to be launching our Italian speaking cinema helpdesk."

Howard Kiedaisch, CEO of AAM added "Being chosen to provide our digital cinema NOC services to Europe’s largest cinema operator is a great vote of confidence in AAM’s technical support expertise, and now that Odeon UCI have completed their digital rollout in Germany, Austria and Italy, we’re pleased to be able to continue to work with them to bring services and support to their sites.”

Rupert Gavin, CEO of Odeon & UCI Cinemas added "Having worked with AAM for several years now, we believe that their digital cinema expertise means they can provide excellent monitoring and support services - as well as market-leading VPF software - to our sites across multiple territories, enabling our local head offices to run their cinemas with ease. ”

Arts Alliance Media recently announced the first deal to deploy its Auditor VPF software in South East Asia, via a partnership with the Goldenduck Group. The company’s London-based NOC supports over 5,500 digital screens in 11 countries around the world.
