GDC Technology (“GDC Tech”), a world leading digital cinema solution provider, is pleased to announce that ‘Foresti Party Bercy’, which features Florence Foresti, currently one of the most popular French comediennes, was performed and broadcasted live on 23rd September 2012 via satellite on over 120 screens using GDC digital cinema servers in Belgium, France and Switzerland.
Pathé Live, a pioneer of live alternative content, distributed the final night performance of ‘Foresti Party Bercy’ which was held at the Bercy, one of the largest event venues in France, to cinemas across Europe.
The finale of ‘Foresti Party Bercy’ performed on the evening of 23rd September attracted an overwhelming number of fans to cinemas with live broadcast capability. This was made possible using live broadcast technology embedded in GDC digital cinema servers, a unique and advanced feature solely available in the market through GDC servers. The existing SA/ SX series of GDC digital cinema servers can be enabled with an integrated 2D/3D decoder capability through a simple software upgrade. Meanwhile, there is no need for any extra hardware, which greatly simplifies the hardware operation and reduces investment costs.
