Arts Alliance Media and Goldenduck Announce Digital Cinema Milestones for South East Asia

Arts Alliance Media (AAM) and Bangkok-based Goldenduck Group are pleased to announce that over 400 screens have now begun using AAM software as a result of their digital cinema partnership in the region.

Leading exhibitors signed by the AAM/Goldenduck partnership include two of Malaysia’s largest chains, market leader Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) and MBO Cinemas. All MBO locations and 2 key GSC multiplexes are now using AAM’s Screenwriter Theatre Management System (TMS) software to manage content, playlists and scheduling.

In the Philippines, a group of leading exhibitors (such as Ayala Cinemas, Megaworld, Greenhills, Gaisano group and Sta. Lucia) have signed up to digitise their screens under Goldenduck’s VPF (Virtual Print Fee) scheme. AAM is supplying both their VPF reporting and management software (Auditor) to all screens, as well as the Screenwriter TMS for selected screens in the country.
In addition to these sites, the AAM software footprint in the region also includes Century Square Cineplex in Singapore and ChiangMai Vista in Thailand. Other leading exhibitors in Vietnam and Thailand are under software trial.

Under the reseller agreement, Goldenduck will also now be offering AAM’s Producer enterprise TMS software to monitor and manage cinema circuits. Producer controls entire chains, centralising and automating processes, managing content and KDMs across all screens, and allowing cinema head offices to see information from all their sites in one easy-to-use interface.

Goldenduck is establishing a NOC to provide monitoring and maintenance to cinema screens in South-East Asia.  This new NOC will be powered by AAM’s brand new Lifeguard software. Lifeguard, designed specifically for NOC operations, offers centralised equipment monitoring and issue resolution, proactively alerting cinemas to any potential problems and managing service requests.

“It’s a great validation of our partnership with AAM that over 400 screens have selected AAM software to power their digital cinemas” Thongchai Liewluck from Goldenduck commented. “AAM’s world-class digital cinema software products, together with Goldenduck’s local expertise, are a winning combination for the entire Asian region, and we look forward to helping many more screens reap the benefits of digital.”

Emily Ng, Business Development Director, APAC, of Arts Alliance Media added “We’re delighted at such a successful year with Goldenduck, both in concluding these deals, and in the hard work Goldenduck have carried out in deploying equipment and software to all these sites across South East Asia. AAM have a real presence now in multiple countries in the region, and we’re excited about expanding our footprint even further in the coming months.”

Goldenduck and Arts Alliance Media continue to partner for sales of AAM’s suite of digital cinema software across South East Asia. Arts Alliance Media will be demonstrating their software, including Screenwriter and Lifeguard, at CineAsia, booth #105, from December 10th – 12th.
