Moving iMage Technologies Completes Installation of All FF&E for Flix Brewhouse Cinemas in Des Moines, Iowa and Carmel, Indiana

Moving iMage Technologies (MIT), a premier manufacturer and integrator in the cinema exhibition industry, recently completed the installation of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) for Flix Brewhouse‘s recently-opened complexes at Merle Hay Mall in Des Plaines, Iowa and Merchant Square Mall in Carmel, Indiana.  The complexes both feature an eight-screen cinema, in-house brewery, and full-service restaurant.
Allan Reagan, CEO of Flix Brewhouse, stated “We chose MIT for our new projects for their competitive pricing, superb technical and engineering support, and their great customer support and project management team. They were with us from the start of the project to opening day.”
MIT worked with Flix Brewhouse to come up with the most technologically advanced audio and video equipment packages and the most luxurious interior details including wall-to-wall curved screens and luxurious seating.  On the equipment side, MIT and Flix chose projectors and servers fully integrated into MIT projector pedestals, and sound racks that were all prewired at the MIT factory, ready to be installed the moment they arrived at the theatre, making for a smooth and successful installation process.  MIT’s IS-20 and IS-30 power management products improve efficiency and reliability throughout the complexes.
Each complex is outfitted with one Dolby Atmos. Reagan stated, “We wanted to offer our guests a unique experience and Dolby Atmos definitely achieves that goal. We are beyond thrilled with the results.”
According to Jerry Van de Rydt, Senior VP of MIT, the experience with Flix Brewhouse was incredibly rewarding and it was great to see all the hard work from both parties result in two first-class theatres.  “ It was a pleasure working with the Flix team who helped us through several hurdles to get the jobs complete on time and on budget.”
