Harkness Screens Launches Curolux Screen Monitoring Solutions for Cinema

Harkness Screens the world’s leading screen technology company and thought-leaders in on-screen brightness has launched its new Curolux suite of screen monitoring solutions for digital cinema.

Curolux screen monitoring solutions from Harkness Screens utilises a range of state of the art tools including Qalif technology to provide cinema operators with the ability to ensure that high quality cinema presentation is maintained at all times and that areas of concern are quickly identified allowing for remedial maintenance to take place using remote monitoring.
 
“Whether its 3D screens with better viewing performance, through to tools and apps that enable exhibitors to optimise on screen brightness, Harkness has been focused in recent years solely on helping its customers and indeed the industry as a whole to improve presentation quality.  This unique suite of tools, which features some ground-breaking technology we’ve been working on for a number of years is designed to allow the entire industry to maintain accurate records of screen performance, optimise equipment and ensure that operating conditions in the theater maintain suitable quality,” says Mark Ashcroft,” CEO of Harkness Screens.
 
From manual solutions for single-screen cinemas through to multiplexes, premium large format theaters and post-production studios, the range of manual, semi-automated and fully automated tools are designed at helping exhibitors to improve presentation quality.
 
“Some of the core features in our suite of tools include the ability to measure light on screen and automate many processes such as measurements for colour, contrast, colour convergence, focus correction, spectral analysis of audio channels and multiple projection alignment.  As well as ensuring quality inside theaters in maintained, some of these tools can save immeasurable amounts of time,” Ashcroft adds.
 
Curolux solutions are designed to assist exhibitors to manage their theaters, with a range of standard reporting tools designed to allow for fully-automated remote screen monitoring from either the Network Operation Centre (NOC), an online portal or through Harkness’ Digital Screen Archiver tool.
