Barco Expands North American Service Operations with a new Digital Cinema Service Center
A new Service Facility has been opened in Sacramento. The facility supports parts stocking for rapid turn-around response, complete projection repair facilities, a technical support desk and an expanded field service team.
The newly-opened Service Center in
California has been expanded to include a Digital Cinema Service department.
With over 40,000 square feet of floor space, the facility will now support
digital cinema as well as the service operations for LED, projection and image
processing equipment.
“Consolidation of service operations in Sacramento is a significant step that is
required to provide improved service to our customers” states Mike Jones, Vice
President and General Manager for Barco Media and Entertainment division, “the
investment demonstrates our commitment to the Digital Cinema industry and is
necessary to support the rapid growth we are experiencing.”
The new facility will provide positive-pressure environments for cleaning and
repair, an extensive stockroom for parts and supplies, a technical support desk
and will serve as a base of operations for Barco’s expanding field service team.
The facility will also be utilized to support comprehensive training on the
operation and maintenance of Barco’s Digital Cinema products.
“As our business expands domestically in the digital cinema area, we’re meeting

and Entertainment, North America. “The customer’s core requirements for high
quality, fast service and fast turnaround haven’t changed and with our expanded
facilities and support staff, we are now well positioned to meet these needs.
