GDC Technology Selected by Santikos Entertainment as the Best IMB Solution for its All-laser Circuit Conversion

Santikos chooses GDC for its commitment to future-proof digital cinema products and world-class customer service
GDC Technology Limited, a leading global provider of digital cinema solutions, today announced at CinemaCon 2016 that Santikos Entertainment has extended its five-year strategic partnership with GDC Technology by signing a new agreement to install GDC digital cinema solutions in conjunction with its transition to all-laser projection.

Under the agreement, GDC Technology will deploy a total of 70 units of its SX-3000 Integrated Media Block (SX-3000 Standalone IMB®) with Enterprise Storage Plus, which provides 4TB of storage, with laser phosphor projectors in 2016.

Digital cinema solutions developed by GDC Technology are widely used throughout the world’s leading cinema chains. This new agreement exemplifies the company’s focus on providing its customers with innovative products and world-class customer service in order to maximize revenue and reduce operating costs. Santikos is leveraging GDC digital cinema solutions to meet its objective of consistently offering the latest advances in cinema technology to its customers.

“We are excited about converting to an all-laser circuit – the first in the world,” said Mr. Art Seago, President of Santikos Entertainment. “This is an unprecedented commitment to laser projection. Working with pioneering technology partners like GDC allows Santikos to offer our customers the experience of next-generation cinema projection.”

“We are honored that Santikos has extended our partnership based upon the reliability of our products and our understanding of their objectives,” said Tony Adamson, senior vice president, strategic planning of GDC Technology USA. “This agreement, signed with one of the most innovative circuits in the world, underscores the fact that as the industry starts its conversion to laser projection, our digital cinema solutions are being viewed by exhibitors as future-proof.”
