Christie Appoints Sean James, Vice President, Managed Services
Expanding Team to Meet Demands of Rapidly Growing Customer Base
Christie, a global leader in visual solutions for entertainment, business and industry, announced the promotion of industry veteran Sean James to Vice President, Managed Services. Heading Christie's Managed Services team, James will leverage Christie's technical expertise and world-class service capabilities. His team of over 150 is comprised of the Network Operations Center in Cypress, CA as well as Factory Service Centers, Customer Service Engineers (CSE's) and Technical Systems Installers (TSI's) located in regions across North America. These Customer Service Engineers and Installers provide local onsite service and installation support to Christie's customers.
As vice president of Managed Services, James will continue to drive Christie's industry-leading reputation as a service organization that meets the needs of its diverse and rapidly growing customer base. Since joining the company in 1997, James has been a pioneer in the design and development of Christie's Managed Services group. Most recently as Senior Director of Managed Services, he led the development of Christie's world-class Network Operations Center (NOC). The complex NOC monitors digital content and integrated audio/video systems (plasma/LCD displays,projection systems, networking components, satellite equipment, and point of sale systems) in thousands of display locations across North America. It is critical to the flawless execution of theatrical presentations and advertising content. He was also instrumental in winning one of the company's first major service and network operations contracts and subsequently pursued opportunities that resulted in the award of additional screens nationwide. Today, Christie's Managed Services group is the largest cinema tech organization in the World, dedicated to servicing over 8,000 screens at 585 sites across 40 states within the US, as well as several provinces within Canada. Major customers include Carmike Cinemas and other large theater circuits in North America.
