Christie Appoints George D. Scheckel, Jr. Director of International Business Development
New Position Addresses Christie’s Rapidly Expanding Global Presence
Christie, a global leader in visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of George D. Scheckel, Jr. to the position of Director, International Business Development for the Entertainment Solutions business division. The new position is part of a corporate expansion strategy to capitalize on the company’s international and domestic growth in Digital Cinema. Scheckel will guide and influence business development efforts, identify new market opportunities for Digital Cinema and build deeper relationships with industry stakeholders in the exhibition and content distribution communities.
Scheckel was a key member of the management team at QuVIS (Quality Visual Information Systems) for the past eleven years, most recently as Vice President of Digital Cinema & Business Development. He joins Christie with extensive experience in all aspects of Digital Cinema pilots, products and rollouts, focusing on advancing digital imaging technology with movie studios and other key customers. He brings strong relationships with leading industry production, post-production and studio operations in addition to 21 years experience in sales management and service operations from the telecommunications industry.

Scheckel participates as a panelist and speaker at trade conferences and expositions, as well as consults on digital imaging hardware and software applications worldwide. These include Digital Cinema, 3D, fixed site installations, post-production, content production and image distribution. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
