AccessIT’s Christie/AIX Deployment Program Hits Average Monthly Screen Installs of 266
- Company Hits Year End Goal of 1,500 One Month Ahead -
Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. ("AccessIT") (NASDAQ:AIXD) today announced average monthly installs for the past three months hit 266. This number exceeds the announced and expected average of 200. The monthly installs for September, October and November were 257, 361 and 180 respectively, showing an expected decline for holiday movie activity in November. This number also brings total installs to more than 1583 exceeding the goal to have total installs of 1,500 by the end of the year.
Bud Mayo, Chairman and CEO of AccessIT, commented: “I’m delighted that we have exceeded our expected monthly average of 200 screens as well as our December 31 goal of 1,500 installed. We fully anticipate achieving install numbers similar to those in September and October after the holiday season and look forward to meeting our goal of at least 2,000 by the end of our Fiscal Year.”
AccessIT's Christie/AIX unit serves as the funding vehicle and administrator for the company's studio-supported 4,000-screen digital cinema rollout plan supported by major studios and independent distributors, among others -- and exhibitors who will receive turnkey, Digital Cinema systems in conformance with DCI specifications, including Christie 2K DLP Cinema® projectors and related hardware and AccessIT’s unique theatre management software. To date, Christie/AIX has contracted to install more than 3,100 systems in thirty-nine states and has completed the rollout of almost 1,600 screens with exhibitors including Emagine, UltraStar, Galaxy, Rave and Carmike Cinemas.
