Barco Digital Cinema pleased to announce Joe DeMeo has been promoted to
National Sales Manager, Barco Digital Cinema, effective November 03, 2003. He
reports to Tom Ray, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Barco
Projection Systems, LLC. DeMeo began his career with Barco in April 2001 as
Strategic Accounts Manager for Barco Digital Cinema. In his new role, DeMeo will
be responsible for guiding the strategic planning, marketing, and technical
coordination of the Barco Digital Cinema projector rollout in the US. Along with
the Barco Digital Cinema Team, he will collaborate with the Theatrical
Production, Distribution, and Exhibition Industries. In addition, DeMeo will
work closely with Barco’s 17 certified Digital Cinema Dealers for the
distribution, installation, and education of the Barco Digital Cinema product
line.
DeMeo has more than 13 years of experience in sales and marketing to the cinema
industry. Prior to his tenure at Barco, he served as Vice President of Sales and
Marketing for BGW Systems, international supplier of power amplifiers and audio
products to cinema dealers and exhibitors. DeMeo received his BA in Business
Administration and Marketing from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York.
He works from Barco’s Los Angeles Digital Cinema office.
