While digital gets mature, IDIFF moves to Paris
The exhibition will be hold from January 30th to February 1st, 2008 at the Palais des Congrès
The 6th edition of IDIFF (International Digital Film Forum) will take place for the first time in Paris, at the Palais des Congrès (Porte Maillot), from January the 30th to February the 1st 2008.
Since its creation five years ago, IDIFF gathered on the issue of digital a community of worldwide experts and imposed itself as the must-attend show of this changing sector. From now on, digital is more and more becoming the norm, as far as shooting, post-production and exhibition are concerned. That is the reason why we wish to extend the audience of IDIFF towards all the cinema professionals.
Locating IDIFF in Paris, it means:
- Increase the number of attendees (3 000 visitors are expected)
- Allowing more companies to take part in the event.
- Reinforcing the international dimension of the event.
Since 2005, IDIFF is the only professional tradeshow to offer, at the heart of the event, a real moving picture studio (with actors and set), allowing professionals to test digital cameras developed for the market of cinema. In 2008, those workshops will benefit from the technical means of the “Palais Images” studio, equipped with a 300 m2 stage directly integrated to the Palais des Congrès.
Launched in 2007, “The Filming Exhibition”, which gathers all actors of the cinema industry necessary to the preparation of film shootings (rental houses, film commissions, professional associations, etc.) will take all its dimension on the occasion of this first Parisian edition.
