ordic Digital Alliance (NDA), one of Norway’s leading digital cinema companies, is officially rebranding as Arts Alliance Media (AAM) following AAM’s acquisition of the company in 2011. NDA, originally a joint venture formed by AAM and a consortium of Norwegian businesses in order to roll out digital cinema in Norway and to develop digital cinema advertising solutions, will be known as Arts Alliance Media from today. The Norwegian office of the company will remain.

Arts Alliance Media Signs More Deals for Digital Cinema Rollout in Latin America

rts Alliance Media (AAM), leading digital cinema company, has officially announced the activation of its Virtual Print Fee (VPF) program for the rollout of digital cinema in Latin America. Paramount and Universal now join Sony and Warner in agreeing to supply their films in digital format to screens deployed by AAM and to contribute to the cost of converting the cinemas to digital. Final negotiations are being completed with Twentieth Century Fox and should be concluded in the coming days.

very Dutch film theatre and cinema has been equipped with digital projection equipment. Out of the 789 screens in the Netherlands, 506 were converted to accommodate digital projection by Cinema Digitaal, in conjunction with integrator Arts Alliance Media; theatre chains Pathé, Utopolis, Euroscoop and a few independent theatres implemented the conversion independently.

Arts Alliance Media and Barco Announce 100 Million Euro Digital Cinema Leasing Program

rts Alliance Media (AAM), a leading digital cinema provider, and Barco, the global Digital Cinema Technology Leader, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer a financial leasing program to exhibitors across Europe to convert to digital cinema. The fund, named the Barco Leasing Program, has a provision for up to €100m and will offer financing packages to cinemas looking to convert from 35mm to digital. The offer is supported by ING Lease Belgium. It will be available to interested exhibitors of any size and will utilize AAM’s existing VPF agreements with all 6 Hollywood majors and nearly 100 local European distributors.

UK Film Council Selects Arts Alliance Digital Cinema to Manage World's First Large Scale Digital Screen Network

rts Alliance Digital Cinema (AADC), the pioneer provider of digital cinema services, has been selected by the UK Film Council to install and run the world's first digital screen network, a core part of the UK Film Council's strategy for improving access to specialised film and broadening the range of films available to audiences throughout the UK.

ilm fans outside the capital are now able to enjoy some of the special cinema events usually reserved for those living in London. Last night, a Q&A with the writer, director and producer of The Village, M Night Shyamalan, was enjoyed not just by those in the auditorium at The Ritzy, Brixton, where the event was taking place, but also by audiences in Cambridge, Liverpool and York, who were linked in via live satellite and were able to put their questions to the director.

EVS Digital Cinema at the Birmingham Screen Festival, March 2004

rts Alliance Media continues to lead the UK digital cinema rollout with the first UK commercial screening of a digital film on a Texas Instruments 2K DLP Cinema™ projector. The screening, of the film Finding Nemo, took place at the Birmingham Screen Festival on Saturday.

Digital Cinema takes a big step forward in the UK

rts Alliance Media is proud to announce the launch of the first digital cinema circuit in the UK, with the first ever HD digital screening in the UK of a film by a UK director, Peter Greenaway’s The Tulse Luper Suitcases. The screening is also the first HD digital screening of a UK production and is taking place at the Arts Picturehouse on Friday 11th July as part of the 23rd Cambridge Film Festival.
