ARRI and XDC cooperate in the production, the duplication and the distribution of digital film copies (so-called Digital Cinema Packages or DCP’s). The collaboration permits ARRI to offer its customers an all-in service for the distribution of digital film copies. Thanks to the cooperation, it is possible to encode a distribution-DCP at Arri in Munich. XDC prepares and duplicates the digital copies for the respective theatre systems. Utopia Group has just signed an agreement with XDC for the roll out of 30 digital screens spread over four countries: Luxembourg, Belgium, France and The Netherlands. In Luxembourg, Utopolis Kirchberg is upgrading 3 existing digital screens and is adding 7 new screens. This cinema will be the very first one in Europe to be fully digital! As Business Development Manager, John will coordinate content management for the German language markets and, with his many years marketing management experience, aid XDC's marketing communications. European digital cinema deployment has started! —May 10, 2005
XDC has been selected as an Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival 2005. It is exclusively providing all the digital technology from mastering to play-back for all digital cinema films being shown this year. This includes the CineStoreTM server infrastructure required for Star Wars Episode 3 and for Sin City. In addition, almost 20 movies have been encoded by XDC and will be screened in Cannes.  Full Release

XDC S.A., the 60% spin-out of EVS Broadcast Equipment, has increased yesterday its capital by € 9,000,000 with 10 new partners from Belgium, France and Luxembourg who will have a 40% holding in the company when the operation is completed: BGL Investment Partners S.A., Audiolux S.A., Beaufagne S.A., Compagnie du Bois Sauvage S.A., G.Consulting S.A., Meusinvest S.A., Partners @ Venture N.V., Vivium Life S.A., Pierre Rion and Laurent Minguet.
