Korea and QuVIS Provide Another Digital Cinema First —Oct 25, 2005
QuVIS, Inc. announces that MegaBox Cineplex Inc., Korea's premier motion picture exhibitor, will be installing 50 QuVIS Cinema Players into Digital Cinema theatres throughout Seoul, Korea. The QuVIS server, supporting DCI JPEG-2000 with an upgrade path to 4K, is part of a partnership project of MegaBox Cineplex Inc. and Dong Young iTech, which will debut at the end of this year. QuVIS, a designer and manufacturer of servers for recording, storage and playback of digital motion imaging as well as developer of ASIC technology for OEM and licensing, will introduce four new servers for 2004 at IBC at the Amsterdam RAI, September 10 - 14. In addition to taking part in the IBC Exhibition (Hall 7, Stand 819), QuVIS will provide servers for digital cinema screenings in conjunction with the IBC Cinema initiative in the RAI theatre.
