Arqiva Distributes Full-Length Digital Cinema Feature Via Satellite —Oct 13, 2008
Arqiva has today announced it has used its Content Delivery Network to distribute the 2008 Palme d'Or winning ‘Entre Les Murs' to Circuit George Raymond (CGR), one of France's largest cinema chains. Working in partnership with Arts Alliance Media, Arqiva successfully delivered the full cinema package via the Intelsat 905 satellite direct to the library server at CGR Cinema's megaplex site in Villenave d'Ornon, Bordeaux, France. Arqiva Delivers High Definition Opera Live from Italy and Spain —Jul 2, 2008
Arqiva in Italy has today announced it is successfully delivering live HD (High Definition) opera performances from Italy and Spain to cinema audiences across Europe. Arqiva has already distributed three performances including 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia' from La Fenice theatre in Venice, 'L'Orfeo' from the Teatro Real de Madrid, and most recently 'Samson and Delilah' from the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Italy on 6 June 2008. Arqiva Delivers Metropolitan Opera Live to European Cinemas 8th May 2008 —May 8, 2008
Arqiva has completed its second season of live High Definition (HD) transmissions of ‘The Met: Live in HD' into European cinemas. Building on last season's success (reaching an additional global audience of about 325,000) Arqiva's transmission of the 2007-8 season enabled sell-out audiences to experience eight star-studded performances in cinemas across Europe. Donizetti's ‘La Fille du Regiment' was the final screening of the season on 26 April. Arqiva Brings Digital Networked Cinema to a Picturehouse Screen Near You —Oct 13, 2006
Arqiva has secured a deal with City Screen Limited - owners of the Picturehouse cinemas - to install a live digital cinema network in all Picturehouse franchises across the UK. The deal will enable the live screening of major entertainment and sporting events in Standard and High Definition via Arqiva's digital satellite network.
