The EN-1000 - DSR™ Digital Film Agile Encoder is a cost-effective encoder with uncompressed storage and playback capabilities. The EN-1000 Encoder has scalable storage capacity and features frame accurate software encoding for audio and video, encrypting and packaging 2K, HD or SD picture resolution images. It provides a flexible, open architecture that can be easily updated with the latest compression algorithms and new requirements. It is equipped to handle multiple compression-standards and also supports multi-lingual subtitling. The EN-1000 Encoder provides excellent picture quality, system flexibility, reliability and security ideally suited for digital film mastering and encoding applications.

Taipei Motion Picture Corporation (TMPC), the country’s leading film laboratory and video postproduction facility recently completed the post and mastering work on the feature film “Wolf”. TMPC recently acquired GDC Technology’s DSR™ Digital Film Agile Encoder EN1000 for its transition into offering digital cinema services. TMPC has been recognized as one of the most advanced postproduction facility in Asia. With the acquisition of GDC Technology’s encoder, TMPC is now offering a complete post service workflow from start to finish. These services include film scanning, 2K color correction, film recording, HD editing and digital cinema mastering.

Mega Media is pleased to announce the acquisition of the DSR Digital Film Agile Encoder from GDC Technology. This initiative was made with the support of the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, and makes it the 1st facility in Southeast Asia and 6th in the world to offer digital cinema encoding for 2K digital films in the GDC format.
