Helt Joins Expanding Team at Doremi
François Helt has joined the Doremi team in Sophia Antipolis, France, as Technical Manager for Digital Cinema. He leads the department that provides application support and post-sales support for Digital Cinema mastering and exhibition equipment.
François is considered by some industry leaders as a one of the top image experts in Europe. He has substantial industry experience in Digital Cinema as well as closely related areas of image technology. He recently worked on two Digital Cinema projects for CST (the French public laboratory Commission Superieure de l'Image et du Son). One was for the ISA/Interoperability project, where Doremi participated, to develop an image library dedicated to fast and precise colour space conversions including the DPX and XYZ. He also helped to develop an automatic calibration tool for digital cinema screens. In 1997 he founded DUST Restoration that specialized in film restoration and other digital processes of cinematographic material. François also created DUST’s restoration software.
