Helt Joins Expanding Team at Doremi
rançois Helt has joined the Doremi team in Sophia Antipolis, France, as Technical Manager for Digital Cinema. He leads the department that provides application support and post-sales support for Digital Cinema mastering and exhibition equipment.
François is considered by some industry leaders as a one of the top image experts in Europe. He has substantial industry experience in Digital Cinema as well as closely related areas of image technology. He recently worked on two Digital Cinema projects for CST (the French public laboratory Commission Superieure de l'Image et du Son). One was for the ISA/Interoperability project, where Doremi participated, to develop an image library dedicated to fast and precise colour space conversions including the DPX and XYZ. He also helped to develop an automatic calibration tool for digital cinema screens. In 1997 he founded DUST Restoration that specialized in film restoration and other digital processes of cinematographic material. François also created DUST’s restoration software.
Commenting on his appointment, François says, “These are exciting times in digital cinema and I’m really pleased to be working with such a talented team. Doremi’s hard work and investment has been rewarded by digital cinema success. We have a lead and we intend to keep ahead. It is most important that our rapidly growing number of customers receive not just the best new products and capabilities that they need but also the best support.”
Patrick Zucchetta, EMEA Business Development Manager at Doremi Technologies adds, “As we continue to grow our cinema activities, François’ very strong background in digital imaging technologies is of great use to us. He is an established industry figure and well known for his technical expertise in the laboratory and in practise. We are very excited to have him in our expanding team.”
