Malco Theatres Enters IMAX Business with Two-Theatre Agreement in the U.S.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) and Malco Theatres Inc., a leading regional exhibitor in the Southern U.S., today announced a sales agreement for two IMAX® theatres. The first IMAX theatre will be added to the Malco Paradiso Cinema Grill in Memphis, Tenn., and the second to the Malco Razorback Cinema Grill in Fayetteville, Ark. with both IMAX auditoriums slated to open in December. Bona Film Group Makes Significant IMAX Commitment with 30-Theatre Agreement in China

IMAX Corp. (NYSE:IMAX) and IMAX China Holding, Inc. (HKSE: 1970) today announced an agreement with Bona Film Group, a leading film distributor and vertically integrated film production company in China, for 30 new IMAX® theatres to be located in new complexes throughout China. The Companies plan to open five theatres annually beginning this year through 2022. Today's agreement significantly increases Bona Film Group's IMAX footprint to 35 from five and positions the Company among the top five IMAX exhibitor partners in China. Full Release

Ster-Kinekor Expands Imax Footprint with Three-Theatre Agreement in South Africa

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) and Ster-Kinekor Theatres, a division of Primedia (Pty) Ltd., today announced an agreement for three new IMAX® theatres in South Africa with locations to be confirmed. The deal brings Ster-Kinekor's IMAX footprint to 10 theatres with seven currently open in cities throughout South Africa, including three in Johannesburg and one each in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Pretoria and Durban. IMAX Signs 10-Theatre Deal in China with Shanghai Aurora Movie Co., Ltd.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX), IMAX China Holding Inc. (HKSE: 1970) and Shanghai Aurora Movie Co., Ltd. today announced an agreement for 10 new IMAX® theatres in China. Under the deal terms, eight of the theatres will be added to the company's new construction projects to be located throughout the People's Republic of China. IMAX Signs Largest Deal in India: Five-Theatre Agreement with Inox Leisure Ltd.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX) and INOX Leisure Limited (INOX), one of the largest exhibition chains in India, announced an agreement for five IMAX® theatres. The theatres will be added to existing INOX multiplexes in the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata. The agreement represents the largest theatre deal for IMAX in India and brings the total number of IMAX theatres in the country to 20, with nine currently open and 11 contracted to open. Full Release

T-Joy Co. Ltd. Enters IMAX Business in Japan with Two-Theatre Agreement

IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX) and T-Joy Co. Ltd., (T-Joy) a subsidiary of Toei Company Ltd. (Toei), Japan's leading film production and distribution company, and one of Japan's largest exhibitors, today announced an agreement for two IMAX® theatres. The theatres will be added to existing T-Joy complexes in the cities of Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan, and brings to 42, the total number of IMAX screens in the country, of which 25 theatres are currently open and 17 are contracted to open.
