In addition to the theatre and movie distribution business, the company started its movie theatre business in October 1999 with the opening of the first Lotte Cinema in Ilsan, Lotte Department Store, and has been actively engaged in overseas business, starting with Lotte Cinema Vietnam in May 2008. Lotte Cinema is a multiplex cinema brand operated by Lotte Cultureworks.

Nov 28, 2023 Lotte Cinema in Korea Selects GDC’s Ultra-reliable Media Server to Replace Legacy Models

GDC Technology Limited, a leading global provider of digital cinema solutions, announced today Lotte Cinemas selected GDC’s pioneering IMB technology to replace 75 legacy media servers. The replacement involves the deployment of the SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block and GDC’s Enterprise Storage at 10 screens and the S1 Kit Plus at 65 screens.
