Leading cinema software company Arts Alliance Media (AAM) is to
showcase its revolutionary cinema advertising software, AdFuser, at the SAWA
(Screen Advertising World Association) Biennial Convention. AAM is a sponsor of
the event, which runs from 5th – 8th October in Berlin.
SAWA is the global trade body of Screen Advertising companies and
associated companies that supply services to the screen advertising industry,
and the organisation holds a convention every two years to focus on the latest
developments in the world of screen advertising and bring together an array of
international industry leaders. The trade body represents the cinema medium in
over 35 countries around the world.
Arts Alliance Media is an event sponsor for the first time, and as
part of the event will be showcasing its AdFuser software, designed to deliver
better advertising to the cinema screen and in the lobby. AdFuser, recently
bought by one of the pioneers of cinema advertising in Norway, Media Direct
Norge (MDN), has been designed specifically for digital cinema to increase
revenue and make the cinema advertising process easier. Features include improved campaign targeting
which allows brands to reach exactly the audience they want using a variety of
targeting rules including cinema location, date or time of day, film genre or
rating, or even nearby retail locations.
AdFuser automates the entire process of getting ads onto the cinema
screen. Once the campaign targeting has been decided, AdFuser automatically
inserts the relevant ad media into the right spots in playlists, which are then
sent electronically to the right screens ready for playout. This process
replaces time-consuming and inaccurate ad management where human error often
led to the wrong ads being shown on screen.
Advertisers also now have complete visibility over when and where
their ads played, with AdFuser’s comprehensive reporting which uses data pulled
directly from playback logs at each screen to provide an automated and accurate
record.
In addition to being able to offer a better, more targeted service
to advertisers, media agencies can also benefit from improved inventory
management. With AdFuser, they can see exactly which spots are available to
sell with a real-time inventory built from the cinema’s POS system. AdFuser
harnesses the benefits of digital cinema and makes it easier and quicker to get
ads on screen, attracting new advertisers to the medium and enabling responsive
copy changes.
The benefits of cinema advertising are also opened up to local
advertisers, who can use AdFuser to enter campaigns directly into the system
without the need for a media agency to devote sales resource to service this
demand.
Eric Stevens, Commercial Director of Arts Alliance Media, said “We’re
very happy to be sponsoring the SAWA Convention for the first time, and look
forward to being in Berlin and learning about new exciting technology
applications and how the world of cinema advertising is changing to take
advantage of all digital cinema has to offer. I encourage anyone who wants to
learn about how software can enable better advertising and increased revenue to
come and see us at the convention.”
