We have recently upgraded our login system.  An account is not required, but necessary to set your preferences and edit company information.  If you have previously registered, you can log in again using the same email address and password.  You can reset your password by following the "forgot password?" link on the login page.

  • You can now log in using your external account from GoogleTwitter or LinkedIn.  More services may be added.  Contact DCinemaToday for more information. You may still need to add (and confirm) your email address if its not provided by the external login provider.
  • When logged in, you can access your Account Manage page by clicking on your email address under the DCinemaToday logo. 
  • A login account allows you to request edit permissions for your company listing.  This permission is granted on a request basis to authorized employees and business principals.  More information on requesting to updating company information is available on the Account Manage page.  Once authorized, the companies you can update will be listed in the Authorizations section of your Account Manage page. 
  • A login account allows you to set the order of the Market Focus tabs on the DCinemaToday Home page.  You can set any tab as your default starting tab. To do this, go to the Tab Preferences section of the Account Manage page   (Desktop only - not yet ready for the Mobile App.)   More user-specific features are under development, so we recommend you log in when possible.

NAB Digital Cinema Summit 2006

Set for April 22 and 23, 2006 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Summit will feature case studies, expert tutorials, keynotes and panels that examine practical issues arising from the production, postproduction, distribution and presentation of digital cinema.

The Digital Cinema Summit is designed for people in the entertainment, entertainment technology, and creative and technical production and postproduction arenas. Information about the Digital Cinema Summit is available at www.nabshow.com.

Saturday's program, produced by SMPTE, centers around digital cinema mastering, distribution and exhibition issues, including: creating the D-cinema package; 2K and 4K projection technologies; 3-D installation and its visual/psychological impact; and a worldwide progress report on digital cinema installations in theatres.

Sunday's schedule, produced by ETC-USC, looks at creating 3-D content; new digital cameras; color management software and services; and production and postproduction projectors and displays through neutral analysis, user experiences and recent projects.

Director James Cameron (ALIENS OF THE DEEP, TITANIC), a pioneer in using new technologies including digital 3D, will deliver the Sunday keynote at NAB2006’s Digital Cinema Summit. Cameron, who consistently takes filmmaking into new territories, will address near and far horizons for digital 3D. In addition, National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) president John Fithian will join Cameron in a Sunday afternoon dialogue that will bring together two industry leaders with overlapping goals and concerns. The pair will explore the future of the theatre going experience, digital cinema and digital 3D. Cameron’s keynote will take place at 9:00 AM and the Cameron/Fithian dialogue at 1:30 PM on Sunday, April 23, 2006, at the Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall.
