Rising Alternative, founded by Giovanni Cozzi in 2009, distributes into cinemas worldwide the LIVE HD productions of many of world's most prestigious performing arts institutions such as the Salzburg Festival , the Berliner Philharmoniker , Madrid's Teatro Real , the San Francisco Opera, , the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Bregenz Festival as well as the Operas on Location such as the Rigoletto in the original settings in Mantua. The programs are distributed both LIVE and via DCPs. The company also acts as the international sales representative for the alternative content controlled by Emerging Pictures, a pioneering company in digital cinema , and which Giovanni Cozzi co-founded in the year 2000. Through this collaboration, Rising Alternative also brings to cinemas the productions of the Milan's Teatro alla Scala, Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and many other Italian Opera houses. Rising Alternative maintains staff and presence in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany.
