The Marché du film – Festival de Cannes and SmartJog announce partnership

SmartJog to provide Digital Delivery Services for Market screenings and Market Exhibitors at the Cannes Film Festival
The Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes and SmartJog are pleased to announce their digital delivery partnership which will provide Distributors with a fast and secure way to send their video material digitally to the Market. SmartJog, a global leader in digital delivery in 65 countries, is providing their SmartExpress service with a local SmartExpress partner in Cannes; UTRAM.

“Distributors will benefit from quick and cost-effective digital delivery, along with the highest level of security,” says Jérôme Paillard, Executive Director of the Marché du Film. “SmartJog ensures the safe transfer of the most sensitive pre-release content, which is a key advantage compared to other forms of delivery.”

The relationship will enable attendees to meet their tight deadlines by avoiding custom delays and the hassles of physical shipping, fiber feeds, satellite uplink or airplane-couriered delivery.

“SmartJog is pleased to provide cutting edge digital services to The Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes,” says Julien Seligmann, CEO of SmartJog.  “This event is at the forefront of markets and festivals by consistently embracing digital technology.”

In just a few steps, digitized content (feature films, trailers, showreels) is securely and quickly transmitted from a SmartJog connected post house, to UTRAM. UTRAM then outputs the material to a specified format, DVD, VHS, Beta SP or DigiBeta, and delivers it directly to the Market’s Screening Department Office in the Palais or anywhere in Cannes (hotel suites, booths, etc.).

About SmartJog: SmartJog is a subsidiary of the TDF Group and the operator of a highly secure and managed distribution network for digital audiovisual content. SmartJog manages a major worldwide network exchanging media content between broadcasters, distributors and technical suppliers.
