The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and Telefilm Canada commission Nordicity Group Ltd. in association with WINESCO Corporation to research and explore the feasibility of a E-cinema network in Canada
he National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and Telefilm Canada have commissioned Ottawa/Toronto based Nordicity Group Ltd. (NGL) in association with Burbank based WINESCO Corporation to research and explore the feasibility of developing and introducing a national digital content distribution, projection and exhibition network. Such a network would be designed to enhance the existing exhibition capacity and the opportunity for audiences across Canada to have access to Canadian and international independently produced films as well as alternative content.
Christiane Ducasse and Kevin Wines from WINESCO Corporation and Peter Lyman, Founding Partner of Nordicity Group, will be the primary consultants.
This assessment requires a thorough understanding of the emerging E-cinema landscape and the development of comprehensive E-cinema network business models.
