Volfoni Will Showcase its Line of Active and Passive 3D Products at IBC 2011
Volfoni, a company specialized in the design and manufacture of 3D glasses and systems, will be present at the IBC conference in Amsterdam, September 9th through 13th, 2011. Volfoni has partnered with IBC exhibitors and will show several new technologies at their booths.
Volfoni's VP 101 passive glasses are normally sold with the polarization modulator SmartCrystal Pro, developed by Volfoni. However, these passive glasses are also available to purchase separately. They will work with any passive 3D system, including the kind in movie theaters. This new generation of lightweight passive glasses are extremely comfortable, durable, and designed to meet the expectations of every user. VP 101 glasses by Volfoni will be demonstrated at the exhibitor booths of Binocle (11.D70a / Hall 11) and Solectrix (11.G72 / Hall 11).
Volfoni's hybrid glasses, ActivEyes®, will be presented exclusively at the booth of Silicon Philosophies (7.G15a / Hall 7). ActivEyes® are the first glasses to eschew labeling as “active” or “passive.” ActivEyes® glasses are both. This hybrid technology developed by Volfoni supports all technologies, allowing users to view 3D content on any brand of 3D screen on the market (all TVs and PCs). But what makes ActivEyes® glasses especially impressive is their visual quality. ActivEyes® glasses use a high-end ECB liquid crystal, making the glasses one of the brightest and most comfortable on the market. The ActivEyes® system consists of the glasses themselves, as well as a miniature electronic “pod” which is attachable to clothing.
Volfoni, one of the only companies in the world developing active and passive 3D solutions
Volfoni's capacity for innovation and development make it one of the only companies in the world today that can offer its customers with tailor-made 3D solutions. Both active and passive 3D technologies that fit the customer's needs, infrastructure, and room configuration.
EDGE 1.2, the new generation of active glasses by Volfoni
Volfoni continues to perfect their glasses, and in a few days, the company will launch their latest model of active glasses, EDGE 1.2. Equipped with a high-speed liquid crystal technology, EDGE 1.2 allows for more light and striking contrast to appear, with an emphasis on comfort, thanks to a design that made EDGE 1.0 a success. A version compatible with DLP®-Link technology (developed by Texas Instruments) EDGE 1.1+ will also be available soon.
