Volfoni Announces the Next Generation of Active 3D Glasses: Edge 1.2
While theater owners across
France gather at the 66th annual FNCF (National Federation of French
Cinemas conference, held September 19th - 22nd in Lyon),
3D solutions company Volfoni announces their latest model of active 3D glasses:
EDGE 1.2.
Building on last year's success
of EDGE 1.0, Volfoni is proud to present EDGE 1.2, the latest in
high-performing and competitively priced active 3D glasses. These new glasses
are perfect for cinema owners and all types of audio-visual professionals.
EDGE 1.2 showcases the latest in
3D technology developed by Volfoni. By utilizing high-speed liquid crystal
lenses, EDGE 1.2 glasses allow for more light (luminosity) and striking picture
contrast. The lenses are covered in a new protective film, significantly
extending the life of the glasses. Other innovations for EDGE 1.2 include a
more universal nose-piece, as well as a new surface coating which reduces the
weight of the glasses from 58 to 56 grams (2.05 oz to 1.98 oz), for even more
comfort.
To celebrate the release of EDGE
1.2, Volfoni will offer, for a limited time only, a special price for a bundle
pack of one 3D Kit and 200 pairs of glasses.
"We are always listening to
client feedback, which helps us improve our products. This allows us to keep
developing the most innovative technology on the market," says Renaud Van
Lith, COO of Volfoni.
Volfoni will soon offer an
optional anti-theft feature for the glasses: integrated RF technology.
This technology stops viewers from
sneaking the glasses outside the theater, and saves theater owners from having
to invest in costly security gates.
EDGE 1.2 retains all the previous
innovations currently available with EDGE 1.0: same ergonomic design, a
low-cost generic button battery, and three sizes of adjustable arms (S, M, L),
so both adults and children can comfortably enjoy 3D content.
In addition to EDGE 1.2, these
features will be available on EDGE 1.1 + glasses which are compatible with DLP
® Link ™ developed by Texas Instruments.
