The International Cinema Technology Association is a global network of professionals in the motion picture industry. DSAT Cinema Lead Live 3D Transmissions in Cinemas

For the Etam Fashion Catwalk Organized by Pathé Live
Etam carried out its fashion catwalk show last night at the Bourse du Commerce of Paris. The event was transmitted live cinemas in 3D to 20 cinemas in France.  DSAT Cinema, the European leader for transmission of live events in cinemas, was the technical partner organizing the transmission on behalf of Pathé Live, specialized in the distribution of events and cultural content in cinemas.

Filmed in 3D by the production company AMP Visual TV, a leader in audiovisual services, and encoded in the SensioHi-Fi 3D format, the Etam fashion catwalk, supported by international music artists, was uplinked using ground infrastructure provided by GlobeCast to the Eutelsat 5 West A satellite.  The signal was downlinked in 20 cinemas equipped by DSAT Cinema for satellite reception and 3D decoding.  Fabrice Testa, CEO of DSAT Cinema, pointed out "that DSAT Cinema is proud to have contributed to the success of this operation, on behalf of Pathé Live and Etam".

Thierry Fontaine, CEO of Pathé Live, added "This has been a prestigious new 3D opportunity for us, executed with the full support of the skilled team of DSAT Cinema which provided a complete turnkey solution to guarantee the success of that event."
