David Parent Joins Laser Light Engines as Chief Financial Officer

New Executive to Help Lead Continued Growth and Commercialization of the Company's Industry-Leading Laser Illumination Technology
Laser Light Engines, Inc. (LLE), the leader in laser illumination for high brightness digital projection, announced that David J. Parent has been appointed Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the company. "We are pleased to add Dave's deep experience and proven ability to our management team, as he helps spearhead our next phase of growth in this rapidly emerging industry," said John O'Hara, President and CEO of LLE.

Parent brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience to his new role, which includes overseeing finance, legal, human resources and IT operations at Laser Light Engines. Previously he served as CFO at Aegis Lightwave, Inc., an optical component and systems company, where he helped grow the company from pre-revenue to profitability, raising capital and managing acquisitions of several optical component companies including, AOFR and CardinalPoint Optics. He also played a key role in the sale and post-acquisition integration into II-VI, Inc. and its subsidiary Photop Technologies following II-VI's acquisition of Aegis in 2011. Parent also served as Director of Finance & Controller for Integral Access, Inc., a supplier of VoIP access equipment, where he helped raise more than $100 million in equity and debt financing while growing the company from early stage through its acquisition. Parent began his career with numerous accounting and finance positions at National Semiconductor Corp.
"Dave's diverse experience in startups, fund raising, acquisitions, manufacturing and optical technology was a key factor in his appointment," said O'Hara. He said Parent will help direct many of the company's critical activities following more than $15 million in private funding raised last year, as LLE accelerates product development and manufacturing capabilities.
"LLE's laser illumination products, with their significant cost, form factor, brightness and image quality, advantages are gaining traction in digital and 3D cinema, displays, lighting and other markets," said Parent. "I'm excited to be part of a company that is not only developing and manufacturing cutting edge products, but also revolutionizing an industry."
