company INDY Cinema Group (INDY) have announced they’ll be entering the US two
years ahead of schedule. Officially launching on April 1st at
CinemaCon, they’ll be partnering with independent cinemas in Florida, Virginia
and North Carolina.
Formed in 2010,
INDY’S impressive track record and expansion into different markets has turned
them into the biggest international full head office support and booking
company for cinemas. They offer services such as film booking negotiation,
scheduling, marketing, and theatre management systems. They’ve also proven they
can significantly improve a cinema’s bottom line.
Managing Director Ian Brown says, “Our one-of-a-kind Head Office support package
has increased box office at our clients’ cinemas by an average of 40% in their
first year and reduced cinemas’ overheads by an average of £400 to £800 per
INDY works with
thirty-four UK cinemas of various sizes, and eight across Australia and New
Zealand. True to their family business roots, INDY entered the Australia and
New Zealand markets by sending Brown and his business partner wife Carmen (INDY’s
Director and Head of Finance) to personally sign up cinemas to their service. Two
more New Zealand cinemas will be starting with INDY in May 2019, which will see
INDY working with ten percent of independent New Zealand cinemas. They’ll be
committing to the same level of responsibility in the US, to communicate the
company’s ethos and family-run spirit.
Brown says, “We
