We have recently upgraded our login system.  An account is not required, but necessary to set your preferences and edit company information.  If you have previously registered, you can log in again using the same email address and password.  You can reset your password by following the "forgot password?" link on the login page.

  • You can now log in using your external account from GoogleTwitter or LinkedIn.  More services may be added. Feedback is requested to support@DCinemaToday.com. You may still need to add (and confirm) your email address if its not provided by the external login provider.
  • When logged in, you can access your Account Manage page by clicking on your email address under the DCinemaToday logo. 
  • A login account allows you to request edit permissions for your company listing.  This permission is granted on a request basis to authorized employees and business principals.  More information on requesting to updating company information is available on the Account Manage page.  Once authorized, the companies you can update will be listed in the Authorizations section of your Account Manage page. 
  • A login account allows you to set the order of the Market Focus tabs on the DCinemaToday Home page.  You can set any tab as your default starting tab. To do this, go to the Tab Preferences section of the Account Manage page   (Desktop only - not yet ready for the Mobile App.)   More user-specific features are under development, so we recommend you log in when possible.

Barco Partners with Real Image - Ushers in A New Era in Digital Cinema Projection in India

Barco, a global leader in digital cinema projection that designs and develops visualization solutions for a variety of professional markets today announced its product partnership with Real Image Media Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in India in the field of Digital Cinema.

India has a vibrant local cinema industry. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu Malayalam and many other Indian languages offer a varied cinema experience that is extremely popular with cinema goers. This local industry is also converting to Digital from Film in a big way. This market segment requires a solution which is robust & economical whilst at the same time maintaining the high standards of cinema which the audiences expect. 

Hollywood Compliant (DCI) 2K/4K Digital Cinema 
2K refers to images with 2,048 pixels of horizontal resolution and 4k refers to images with 4,096 pixels; the 2K series was pioneered by Barco in 2005, and today comprises of a complete line of projectors catering to various cinema configurations. Barco recently announced its 4K offering to the market, based upon the Texas Instrument patented DLP technology.
